“Art Squad: Committing Random Acts of Kindness with Art “

Do you have an inexplicable urge to commit acts of kindness? Do you want to send messages of love to your community through artistic means? Does collaboration sound good to you?
If you answered yes to at least one of these questions then come to this workshop lead by artist collaborators Mary Esch and Josie Winship. We'll brainstorm and ask questions like: Is there a group or place that needs a little love in the West End community? Who could use a little spontaneous acknowledgement for their good works? As a group, how shall we do it? Will we create an art object(s), a poem, a performance, or a helpful action done secretly or with theatrical joy?
We will meet for two consecutive days- 6 hours total. On the first day the leaders will brief you on the history of public acts of kindness through art and performance. Then we will brainstorm and plan our own small art project for the West End. On the second day will create our “art-work” and deliver,
