I am constantly inspired and rejuvenated by being in nature, which fuels my creativity and ideas for watercolor paintings. My paintings capture my perception of nature by focusing on color, lines, texture, whimsical elements, and symbols associated from my dreams. Each painting is finished with black ink to add vivacity and expression that enhances the images within each painting.

Living in a 102 year old house, I am fascinated by old buildings and the way they mature with age. I have begun to paint windows, doors, houses, and buildings that have a rustic quality and aged texture. There is something captivating by the peeling paint, rotted wood, and crumbling stone that makes me ponder as to why these buildings are still standing. Do others realize the beauty of these old buildings too? Or, are they long forgotten? What is behind those windows and doors? What type of story do they hold?

I am a St. Paul artist experienced in many fields of art and have become fascinated and inspired by working extensively in jewelry, stained glass, and watercolor paintings. I have a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from the College of St. Benedict and just recently embarked on a new life adventure by becoming a full time artist. Keep an eye out for my creations at local art and craft shows throughout the year and make sure to follow my journey on my website and facebook. Along with artwork, I am a lover of camping trips, nature hikes, craft beers, playing with my dog - Lenny, and spending time with my wonderful and ever patient husband - Brian (who is also a talented woodworker).
