Drawing Class

This class is for the beginner as well as the more experienced. The four lessons will cover, among other things, contour drawing, perspective, still life and portraiture. People are encouraged to work at their own pace. Materials required are:

ruler
black China marker
drawing pencils ­H, HB, B, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B. ( if you can't find 6B or 8B, no worries) blending stumps (paper tubes used for smudging)
kneaded gum eraser
8 1⁄2” x 11” sketchbook of drawing paper ( any size similar)

Most discount stores or art supply stores sell these. Each class is one hour long, but additional time in the studio will be available following each class as long as there is no class following the drawing class. Last day to register is Sept. 24. This is a four hour class for $100, and the dates are Oct.4,11,18,25. 

Kim Berry Bio

Kim Berry has taught art to ages 3­93. She graduated from Black Hills State University with a degree to teach art K­12, and taught in TX and SD. Kim recently taught a watercolor class to the memory care at Shalom Home on West Seventh. Kim was an art consultant to a local non­ profit for 3 years. She has designed two holiday cards for Opportunity Partners and has exhibited throughout the Twin Cities since 2008. Her work can also be seen at mnartists.org.
